The Indo-US civilian nuclear deal inked between New Delhi and the Washington last year, opens door for more American exports to India, an official US report has said.

The State-owned Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has synchronized 220 MW Reactor 3 of Kaiga Atomic Power project (KAPP) to the southern power grid earlier this year. The KAPP-3 will be the seventeenth operating nuclear power station in the country.

Kuwait's cabinet has approved a draft project to set up a national nuclear energy commission.  Kuwait is the third Middle Eastern country to take steps towards working out its own nuclear power programme in recent months.
